Project Details

Students learned how to use watercolor paint, including how to mix colors, blend colors, lighten and darken their paint, and how to create various effects with their materials.

After drawing a design for their project, students were tasked with painting their artworks using watercolor. Then, once the paint had dried, students “fractured” their paintings by outlining anywhere they saw a value change. Students had choice in if they used black or colored ink for their fracturing.
