Project Details

Students learned how to use a new material in this project. After a class of just exploring charcoal and chalk pastel, students were then taught technical skills for using the materials.

Students then designed a project that would suit the material and create some form of emphasis. After sketching their underdrawing on toned paper, students used charcoal and chalk pastel to design their work.
