Middle School | Art 2 (7 & 8 Grade)
Project Details
For this project, students learned about the art style of Op-Art. After selecting an Op-Art design for their work, students drew their compositions. Students could use ink, paint, or pencil to fill in their design.
Then, students learned about weaving and how to create a paper weaving. Students planned a design for their weaving first, then sketched and cut their warp strips from their drawing. Playing with opacity, students wove vellum into their Op-Art drawings.
