Contest Details

With positive recognition as the focus of this program, PTA Reflections allows students to explore creative expression and help in finding their own voice in telling their unique story.

For over 50 years, students have found a creative outlet in the areas of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts through this program!

2024 Student Entires

This year, we had 48 Student Entries across three different categories: visual arts, photography, and music composition. The theme was “Accepting Imperfection.”

2024 Contest Results

At the local level, the following were awarded:

• Participation Award (18)
• Honorable Mention (12)
  • For good interpretation of the theme and neat work.
• Award of Merit (7)
  • For great interpretation of the theme and creativity.
• Award of Excellence (11)
  • For excellent interpretation of the theme, creativity, and great work.
  • Students in this category moved on to compete at the Regional Level!

11 students advanced to regional judging receiving the following awards:

• Participation (1)
• Honorable Mention (1)
• Award of Merit (1)
• Award of Excellence (2)
• Overall Award of Excellence (3)
  • Students receiving this honor moved on to the State of Texas level of judging!

The students who moved onto the State Level of Judging received the following awards:

• Award of Merit (1 – Photography)
