Project Details

In order to take Honors Art 1 at the high school, students are required to submit a work sample. While students could use any material they wanted for the assignment, they were required to draw a specific image sent from the high school.

Students were given the option to either grid their artwork or draw free-handed. After creating a pencil drawing of the contour lines, students selected a material to show off their strengths. Students then used their material to match the colors in the photo and add color, value, and texture to their drawings.
