Project Details
Students learned about the art movement Surrealism. After viewing examples of traditional and contemporary Surrealist works, students came up with an idea for an artwork that would mesh dreams with reality.
Students learned about the art of collage, including proper collage techniques. Then, students spent time looking through magazines, newspapers, and other reuse materials to find the images and textures they would need for their collage.
After collecting materials, students arranged their collage compositions to create their own Surrealist work.
