Focus: Careers in Art
Project Details
This project focused on the art of animation. Students learned about the history of animation as well as careers in animation. This project was paired with videos from animation studios, short clips of hand drawn animations, and other resources to show students the breadth of working in animation.
After learning about animation, students were tasked with creating a drawing that showed something in movement. Since they were only drawing one “cel,” students had to think through their scene and what they wanted to show in their work.
This project was completed around Halloween, so students were encouraged to theme their artwork around the holidays if they wanted.
