My undergraduate career was spent studying Interior Design at the University of North Texas. While my education was focused primarily on applying design principles to buildings, I was constantly challenged to use my artistic skills and creativity for each project.
Project Information
To get into the Interior Design program, all sophomores had to participate in a semester long project which culminated in a portfolio review. Students were tasked with taking an existing space in the UNT Art Building and designing it as a Coffee Shop.
Students began by researching a coffee company and creating concept boards for their new space. Client needs were taken into account in addition with aesthetics and accessibility. Students then measured and drew the existing space. After many hours of instruction, students redesigned the space including layout, materials, equipment, and furniture.
The following is a selection of my hand drafting work, 3D modeling, and design planning for my portfolio.
